2019 >>>>>>>>> 2007
I'd possibly even argue our 1999 team was better than 2007, although I concede that Bond was a pretty big factor in the latter. But the likes of Cairns, Twose and Allott were so gun in '99.

No, it isn't. The 2003 team which missed the semis (didn't go to Kenya) was stronger than 99.
On paper, but not on results, I'd say. Even if they'd gone to Kenya, they didn't nail the crunch moments in pool play like 1999 did.

Admittedly 1999 got obliterated in the semi, but based on pool games 2003 would have as well.

2019 and 2023 are quite different - Conway, Ravindra, Young, Mitchell, Phillips, Chapman ... over half the current team has changed, will change to 5/11 when/if Williamson returns.
Agree, it is just Latham and 4 main bowlers the same and even the bowling balance has changed:

Boult, Henry, Ferguson, Santner

PLUS

CDG and Neesham 2019/Ravindra and Phillips & perhaps Mitchell 2023

2003

If the 2003 team were playing today they'd be the best side. 2003 was the peak of ODI cricket standards around the world

No, 2015/2019/2023 are all far far better batting lineups than 2003.

Astle was by far the best ODI batter in our 2003 side, followed by Styris and Fleming.

None were as half as good as Taylor and Williamson and were behind Guptill, Conway, and Mitchell too.

2003 team was still better

They managed to compete with ATG-level teams despite not having superstars on paper
