When do we think Smith is retiring? Many were saying this ashes but in his current form I think he could go at least till the 27/28 home summer. Aus batting is pretty mediocre without him too.

Whoever was saying that is an idiot. Khawaja is likely the only one to retire. Smith’ll play til at least this whole next WTC and the 150th anniversary test. Possibly yeah go out with a nice Ashes win at home.

I would not rate a player till he retires but get a feeling viv is underrated here. Man destroyed likes of Lillee thommo imran wills and hadlee along with great spinners like chandra and bedi( they might not be atgs like warne or murali but way better then anyone smith faced expect maybe ashwin)

Yeah but it's not just about playing the best bowlers, it's of not much use if you're going to throw it away against lesser bowlers

I think it really gets ignored at times, and it's not really just about Viv. He had some of the Greatest Series against Great bowlers, but in comparison didn't cash in as much as he could overall.
