Spam Bot invasion of CW

but surely something can be done with the registration process options to prevent this.
We've been changing a lot in the registration process and it's keeping the bulk of spammers out, but it's impossible to get 100% unless we consider manual approval for posts made by new members.

is it possible to implement a minimum number of posts before being allowed to create a new thread?

It's been discussed loads over the years, but you get genuine members who sign up to ask a question. so I don't personally think is the right approach
Additionally, it would be a pain to sift through what's a legit account and we would eventually make mistakes and accidentally perma a new member.
