A lot to digest with the Warriors squad. Most 16-18 with a few HP contracts. They have gone 25.

Jordan Morris is Chris' cousin.
Kyle Glennistor is Codi Yusuf's cousin.

Massive thrashing by 130 runs. Looks like a massive gap to close in 6 months ahead of the world cup.

Bulbulia got 70-odd & Rowles got hit on the head so had to retire. Those were the 2 scoring runs v England. Along with Basson. Probably our only 3 absolute banker's right now.

Third last squad to be announced, Limpopo... Not a lot of first division experience, except Sizwe Masondo, from waaay back. 4/11 local players and 4 rejects from Central Gauteng...

Two more on my mystery high school sheet:
Sizwe Masondo and Maphekgola Pootona (Bochum hub being an aggregate of rural schools; Shelton Ngobeni is listed as Phalaborwa Hub, but other sources suggest his school was Vuxeni)
The other 5 are:
Tshepang Dithole (somewhere in Krugersdorp?)
Reynaldo Meyer (possibly CT, possibly George?)
Rafeeq Patel (genuine mystery man)
Kagiso Rapulana (possibly somewhere in Soweto)
Andrew Rasemene (possibly Centurion, but now I can't find the source I had for that)

Border squad is finally out... Only Boland to go.

Who of the late bloomers do you think is about to have a breakout season? Am I the only one who has half an eye one Sean Gilson?

Interesting squad with a lot of youth... 7/16 local, plus two - Bossr and Ntini - who started at Selborne and got scholarships to schools in other provinces. Then 7 Gauteng players, including 4 from Waterkloof. Nico Van Zyl played last season, and suddenly they signed 3 more! Bokako, Dadswell, Ntuntwana out, probably retired? Gleaves not contracted who played last year, but he had little impact...

Waterkloof recruits are smart! Tough to get into the Titans. Especially and being blunt they produce white cricketers in large amounts.

Bossr was some story. Typical Glenwood recruiting for their rugby for high school & Selborne & Glenwood had a massive fight and story was big at the time. He played SA U19 cricket but was signed by Sharks or Bulls for rugby but it didn't work out and went back to cricket.

Ntini the mystery. Already had 4 professional teams & now his 5th one. Spent time in Oz last summer playing club cricket but was back before the summer was finished playing club cricket in CT.

Had a decent season in the Notts Premier League. Another who went to Tuks from Natal. He is interesting because he bowls good finger spin too. Got 11 wickets.

I'm high on Matthew De Villiers & Keagan Lion-Cachet.

Topklasse in Netherlands

SA Domestic players in the runs are Gavin Kaplan, Raynard van Tonder and Lehan Botha. Two of them ex-Rondebosch.

Tayo Walburgh went to Rondebosch like the Klein brothers who play for the Dutch (+Levitt went to near by SACS too).

Christiaan Oberholzer plays WP Colts and Josh Brown in the bowling has played for Boland colts.
