Sanga has a much better WC record, there's not a very big era difference between them, and raw stats (or stats against top nations), are equalish

A single run, gets done by Era. Late 90s Ganguly was quite equal to Anwar and Waugh
Yeah but it's not a very big difference... Early 10s Sanga was just as good... And then you look at WC performances and performances against top teams in Aus and Sa where Sanga beats him more clearly... So overall don't see how it's comfortable

Because early Sangakkara was a legit dud of a player. It took him till 2010s to turn Good let alone very good

So was Ganguly in the 2000s...they were just good at different stages of their career
I don't think Ganguly was ever a dud like Sanga was early on.
Yeah but it's only 4 years... Compared to the bigger difference in performances in WC and vs top teams, I'm taking Sanga
Ganguly had a very good WC as well. And as I said, those 4 years on both sides are basically their peaks
