Again, which ATG combosMore than Viv did, which is the point, and that's not including McWarne.
Ok sure. Wasim was still very good though in that series.
I like how when convenient you decide Ambrose isn't worldclass after his shoulder injury. Walsh was at his peak btw.
Yes so Tendulkar did face an ATG attack then.
Whatever these arent points related to the argument we are having.
Wasim and Waqar outside of prime
Donald and Pollock, what, 5 games?
Ambrose and Walsh, but no Ambrose pre injury.
And who's saying he wasn't world class, but he also wasn't what he was before, what were your words, less penetrative?
So basically it was McWarne.
So again, I'd were talking performances vs the ATGs, Viv's number are better, and Tendulkar undoubtedly struggled in comparison. And the great combos that he were up against are at least a little overplayed.
And for all who are down playing what Viv was up against, was there ever anything more difficult than facing the gauntlet of Imran and co in Pakistan, the NZ tours vs Hadlee and Lillee and Thompson in Australia in the 70's and 80's?
Multiple WI players I've spoken to from the era independently spoke of how Lillee was allowed to practically bowl from (hyperbole) half way down the pitch and they were out for blood. Imran averaging 13 with the aid of his friends mid decade and Hadlee in NZ... And that doesn't mention peak Botham in England.
