SKY or Gill 1st test

Who should be selected as no.5 for the 1st test

Shreyas iyer - would've slotted immediately(ave near 60) but he's injured. who would u pick?

Both are guns in the white ball formats, on relatively flat wickets though, yet to prove themselves at test level. SKY hasnt played a test. Gill averages 53 in FC, SKY averages a respectable 44 in FC red ball.

Gill has been found technically suspect at Test level- only averaging 32 to date over 25 innings.

SKY is the more attacking player- at this level, he would be similar to say the indian De Villiers.

This line ball decision could affect this test- the loss of Iyer is significant as he's probably the best batsman in India in tests at the moment.

First Class Debutant
In low scoring matches, batsmen like SKY have more impact. Even a 60 off 70 balls can potentially change the outcome of such matches.
That's why I think not picking Maxwell is a huge blunder.
