Close one because Pollock averages 32 with bat as well while Waqar was a proper tailender.

As a test cricketer, Shaun Pollock takes it.

As a test bowler, Waqar wins because he was able to run through sides more often than Pollock did disregarding the conditions of the balls.

He did look technically okay but I wouldn't take Shaun Pollock's batting average at face value.

Agreed, definitely a close comparison

So we’ve moved on from devaluing Kallis to devaluing Pollock. Cool.

And yet people always hype up Imran’s batting. If people were consistent in their logic McGrath > Imran as a cricketer.

I don't hype Imran's batting much. I think Kapil was a better bat. Imran is a distance ahead of Polly with the bat though.

Younis. More dangerous in his peak and didn't have such a horrible career post peak.
Waqar's nadir was every way horrible as Pollock's. Pollock at least stayed significant with the bat. It was painful to see in early 2000s, Vaas bowling quicker than Waqar.
