I was surprised Mulder made the lineup after how awful he was in the trials (averaged 15 with the bat and 59 with the ball), but I guess it's not like de Bruyn or Taylor covered themselves in glory either, and Mulder has the biggest upside for team balance.

The only other option would have been playing Henry, and the 7Mehidy8Southee team folded like a lawn chair when you tried that.

Yeah none of the other options really jazzed me. I like what Mulder adds for balance anyway so even if he only somewhat improves on his trial form he could still be rather useful for me, especially given my tail is pretty decent.
