LOL @ Neil.

**Realises he's 2nd last and utter pants.**

Hides in corner.

**Realises that he based his bets for the weekend on the predictions from the competitors AND he made some money**

Jumps for joy.

Well I suddenly thought I'd have a look at the predictions from this and the other league I'm running.

Came out with some cracking draws I wouldn't have gone for!

When I was in Dublin last year, I used to take part in a weekly predictions competition run by a local football club - just the results, not the scores.

You had 12 matches to predict, plus 3 'reserve' games (in case of postponements). The winner was the one who predicted most correct results. If you got all 12, you won the jackpot. This particular week it was world cup games. As the results came through, I was like 'got that, got that, got that, GOT THAT' etc.

There was one match which hadn't finished - Norway v Poland (I think) and I had it as a draw. With 3 minutes of injury time played, it was 3-3. I thought that the regular £250 prize was mine, and the jackpot stood at about £2,000.

Damn. Poland scored a winner.

The following Wednesday, I went to the bowling centre and the guy who ran the sweep came up to me. I thought 'well, £250 is not bad'. Then he told me - I had won nothing - one person had the lot. Jammy git. What made it worse?

It was HIM!!!

Let's look at this in terms of nationality:

(If I get it wrong sorry, I'm not overly sure which of us are NZ/Aussies)
The Argonaut 32 AUS
Paid The Umpire 30 AUS
Tim 29 AUS
Anoop 27 IND
Gregory Blewett 26 AUS
luckyeddie 23 GBR
Umpire Money 22 AUS
Neil Pickup 22 GBR
chris.hinton 21 GBR
marc71178 20 GBR
bugssy 15 AUS
It's Our League and we are getting beaten by a load of Aussies! AGAIN! Why is it that we lose everything?!

Ah well, it's still early, and this can go down as Ashes Practice...

This could very well be won by whoever has the greatest staying power - ie predicts every week...

Yes, but Arsenil came back to grab a 2-2.

Depressing - it would have been difficult to predict less correct results than I got this week.

Not only that, Derby lost 4-1 at home to Wolves.
