Yeah sure, Shakib averages 122 balls an inning away from home, Bashir does 150 balls an innings away from home, Leach did 157 an innings, I'm sure his workload would be reduced. He won't get any dibs on the tail enders, as the pacers would target them and on top, the actual issue of you know, having to bowl consistently at seamy roads on home with nothing for spinners as we see with Jadeja.

Anderson played 36% of his games against the strongest bowling units, Australia and South Africa, Shakib had to do that for less than 10, guess that hits batting average too. 20+ Tests in Australia where he'd be lucky to even average 40 too, probably 45-50.

So No, won't have a better career with England, Stop deluding yourself.
Pretty sure that's also significantly for where they played away mostly, No?? I would expect Bashir and Leach to do so in SC, while Shakib having a favourably higher percentage outside Asia.

so he won't get games for England outside Asia? If he does, why would we bowl him less overs than what we bowled Leach and Bashir considering he's a better bowler.

I'm just saying he would have played a lot of tests and produced very good numbers. With the exception of Swann he's a better bowler than every English spinner since Underwood and is a high 30s averaging bat. Shakib > Stokes & Flintoff and had he played 150+ tests would be considered better than Botham too.

TLDR, playing Jimmy's games, Shakib would probably average north of 35 with the ball and South of 35 with the bat.

Nonsense. He is not as good as Botham in any facet of the game, and he also would have a way tougher schedule playing for England, including 20+ Tests in Australia IE spinner graveyard and recently a pacer paradise, with the 2013 Johnson series too. That is under Jimmy's schedule, only two games against Zim, none against Afg and Ireland etc. He'd do very well to average 35 with the ball being an English spinner considering his output with Bangladesh as home wickets is already 33.

I reckon batting average might remain the same maybe? but Yeah, much closer to Stokes than to Botham.

Botham is the better batsman, bowler and fielder.

Not taking his batting average at face value, but he has relatively few not outs everywhere. Just found it interesting he averages around the same anywhere he batted more than thrice.
I think his batting average can be taken at face value. Bowling avg is obviously inflated via dustbowls in India.

Batting averages are quite balanced home and away combined. Just a bit too many not outs like Imran Khan or Shaun Pollock. But he is comfortably better batsman than Pollock.
