Aubrey got a fifer in England, and he didn't get a fifer in Australia but averaged 70 with the bat so....good enough

A lot of guys has to be taken less seriously, it seems.
Correct. The bar has to be a lot higher for people who played in preprefessional cricket to be compared with people who played in the professional era.

Thus, Jack Hobbs and Don Bradman stand the test of time. Most others don't.

Same reason no one considers Bill Tilden or Fred Perry an equal of a Pete Sampras or a Roger Federer.

Aubrey Faulkner is a very interesting historical figure.

I did not know about it.
Thanks for the information man.

Doug Walters : 72 runs and 0.66 WPM
Charles Macartney : 60 runs and 1.3 WPM
Aubrey Faulkner : 70 runs and 3.3 WPM
Darren Lehmann: 66 runs and 0.55 WPM
Washington Sundar: 52 runs and 2.77 WPM

These are the only 5 with a min of 10 test wickets
