Remember watching (on tv) Shayne O'Connor clean up the Aussies in 2000 when I was a wee lad they were like 5/20 which was unheard of at the time

He deserved a spot in the rankings for his full toss to Steve Waugh at the very least.

And also because he's from Otago.

(plus he's miles better than Hamilton & Thompson).

I enjoyed watching O'Connor. Felt he could / had a chance to get the best players out.

It was a real shame Mark Footitt never played international cricket. He was rapid and did plenty with it.
I gained the impression he was thought not accurate enough (and he was expensive at times), and I think there might be Div 2 wickets in there too, but I always thought his non-selection was a great example of England's ridiculous conservatism which leads to them picking dobbers who are hopeless overseas.
