Pant has 4 hundreds in England, Head has 1 hundred in England and even that against not the home team, Pant in Australia is amazing as we all know, Pant made THAT hundred at Newlands while Head averages in 20s outside the big three. Pant has played 13 home games and 33 away games, Head has played 32 home gomes and 28 away games, Pant averages 55 at home and Head 51, the fact their average is identical with that, tells me Pant is better

I wouldn't say much better. Rahane was good in Aus but not consistent really anywhere (outside some poor attacks vs SL, WI). He played some memorable inns like the Lord's ton, twin 100s vs SL but overall I find him a tad overrated. Not above Head for me, who's had a higher impact imo

I mean i agree with inconsistency part but rahane scored against very good home attack in West Indies on some very difficult wickets. Those runs count a lot imo.

2016: Holder, Gabriel and Bishoo
2019: Roach, Holder and Gabriel
Decent but not really that good imo. If he did that against the current attack, then I'd give him more credit.

I think will switch to Pant over Head as well.

Roach yes, he was quite good. I'm not discounting Rahane's runs in WI btw, they are pretty decent quality runs. But that's not enough for me to have him above Head

They have superb record at home and ball did plenty in 2019 series. Those runs are high quality. His best performance came in that series

It was a very good performance, but when you're comparing with Head, Head has played in general in a much more bowling friendly era with multiple such performances as well.
