Praveen Kumar

Pratters

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
Praveen Kumar swung it exceptionally well and with quite a good control actually. So I would have backed him to be a fine second or third seamer for India if he had his head right tbh. I would certainly rate him fairly higher than the wayward Vinay Kumar. I would even have him ahead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar as Praveen Kumar, when bowling in proper rhythm, was more of a wicket taking bowler.

Yeah but time to move on I reckon. Team doesn't need headcases and Bhuv is a perfectly good swing bowler. Yadav and Aaron have talent to build on. Coaches just need to sort that out and earn their money.

Earlier, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar was a poor man's Praveen Kumar. Now, Praveen Kumar is a poor man's Bhuvaneshwar Kumar.

Cricketer Of The Year
He has a full Ranji season to prove himself. Let's see how that shapes up. He can make himself useful in the national side if he can score runs and take wickets. Decent start so far, with nine wickets in two games, though his batting has been patchy.
