Ponting was better on flat pitches and probably the best ever vs genuine pace and bounce. He was also an impact fearless batsman which I think Kallis wasn't all that.

If there’s no movement and the pitch is flat yes. I would pick Kallis if the pitch is seaming.

Its just something you’re going to have to get used to. It could be a phase - maybe in a couple years people will have moved on. Or it could be as permanent as Jadeja.

The difference in SR should also be noted which gives Ponting a decisive lead.
