Peter Wynne-Thomas, Notts Historian, Writer Dies

State Regular
Just seen on the Nottsview cricket site that he passed away yesterday aged 86.

Massive contribution to the game of cricket, Notts in particular. So many fine books did he do.
Met him three or four times in the Trentbridge Library on my visits to the UK.
Always loved talking cricket to me, me a complete nobody to him, must have bored him to tears with all my Notts statistical questions. LOL
I really nice man.
RIP.

International Captain
Sorry to hear this. I met Peter a few times. He was incredibly knowledgeable, yet very friendly, engaging and completely down to earth. His contributions to researching cricket history and managing organisations such as the ACS were immense and almost unparalleled over the last half century. May he rest in peace.
