Gambhiring cap on:

The top order still looks sluggish despite these wins. Things could go very, very wrong when they have to bat first or chase 180. Asif Ali is a get out of jail card at the moment but he's not going to come good every time. Hasan Ali has bowled an almost match losing over in every game so far and there's no backup seamer. Desperately need him to get out of Sami mode and get back into his golden run last year. England look tailor-made to wreck us.

Gambhiring cap off: Imad Wasim is a beautiful, beautiful man with a magnificent penis and he can do no wrong. Almost everyone made a contribution today and it was a solid all round effort with some gun fielding. A couple of scares here and there but even Rashid didn't go at sub 6 which was particularly pleasing. Having two blokes who can touch 150 kph and then bamboozle you with cutters is a nice luxury to have.

Some clean hitting, that.

Pakistan gotta be favourites now, surely?
Yeah because they're practically through with games against Namibia and Scotland to come.

In a week's time one of England or Australia will probably catch up to them at the top of the field, so they're not good value now IMO

All of this. I wouldn't want to face England at all.

Whatever it takes!!!
Asif Ali is an amazing #6 to have in a side when your 4 and 5 can also bowl. A specialist batsman who is willing to hit out from ball 1 is a rare find.

They lose at some point. Probably (hopefully) in the knockout stage.
Not sure this is true. They're a very well rounded side who don't need to lose. They won't for the rest of pool play, then it's two one off games where they should start favourite.

It is a thing about India or Pakistan when they are so ruthless and winning against everyone and look like they have no weaknesses, it is all basically a set up to have a fall at the last stages. Us desis have been burnt way too many times to start believing these things when they happen. :p

They could have lost against both NZ and AFG. Fair play to them for pulling through, that's what good teams do, but you have a chance if you put up 150+ and get one of the openers early on. Aus, SA and maybe Eng have the bowling to land that killing blow where NZ and AFG failed.

Can't help but think that "maybe" is carrying a lot of weight in that sentence.

Mills aside, our seam attack looks a wee bit thin at this level.

Oh no doubt, they can lose. And England do look similarly strong across the park, too.
