12-plus hours a day of live TV coverage has been a godsend in lockdown.

Fairly quiet first few days for NZ so far, but our ATG Paralympic swimmer Sophie Pascoe just had a good first heat.

Watched a bit of wheelchair rugby and some of the male swimming. Literally amazing that a few of the athletes can swim at all and somehow they manage to absolutely gun it

Wheelchair rugby is brutal AF. The US-Canada game has been pretty evenly matched so far.

I have absolutely no idea how you can swim without arms and also beat people who are using arms.

Massive effort by the 48-year-old Aileen McGlynn to get a silver medal in the velodrome today. She won a gold in Athens way back in 2004, FFS.

That is nothing Dame Sarah Storey won the first of her 15 golds in Barcelona in 92. 5 in swimming and 10 in cycling and at one point she was so good at cycling she made the full squad with the able bodied team. A freak of a sportswoman.

Lisa Adams just smashed the Paralympic record in shot put. Obscenely talented family.

Bit of a British gold rush today, 3 in the velodrome, 2 in the pool and 1 so far on the track and the world record holder to come in a few minutes in the 100m.

Add in the wheelchair rugby and Will Bayley reaching finals tomorrow and it has been a great day. These sports stars are more inspiring than the Olympians of a few weeks back.

The Belarusian swimmer Ihar Boki is incredible - 13 golds in his career so far, and it looks like he'll get another one in the 50m freestyle final tonight. Totally dominant. And he's still only 27!

That men's gold medal match was the most engrossing game of table tennis I've ever seen, para or otherwise.
