*Official* South Africa Test Tour of Zimbabwe 2025

Brendan Taylor is coming back for the next series. Along with Raza, Williams and Ervine, the old horses can hold the team for one more year. Quite sad that Raza is playing MLC over this test series.
Wonder if they should give the gloves to Brendan or not? Take the expectation and pressure off slightly. Saying that with all the injuries there one to many holes in this Zim team.

Hasn't taken his chance like Breetzke. Both their domestic careers are in and out. Both have had some great moments in international cricket but I wonder how they both can try take their FC games to the next level. Do they get challenged enough provincially?
I think De Zorzi might be kept around because he's an opener, even though he may have lost ground to Rickelton. But Breetzke's definitely in danger of slipping behind Pretorius and Brevis in the pecking order.

Be interesting to see if he goes on the India/Pakistan tours. You imagine the top 7 in WTC final & the 2 young bucks might be enough. Especially with opening there slightly different to SENA.

Bedingham hasn't scored a 50 in 12 innings,
I think that is grounds enough for him to lose his place, he's also gifted his wicket on so many occasions (Great ball from the leggie to dismiss Pretorius!)
Concerning. Shukri/Prince might back him but I'm not sure this new selector will whoever is coming.

First Innings at Lord's was probably worth double but why can't he knuckle down more and learn from that innings.

Yes, I agree. If Curran and Bennett also recover, a top 7 of Curran, Bennett, Taylor (wk), Williams, Ervine, Raza and Madhevere looks quite good. Heck, I will even fit in Welch there at number 3 instead of playing Masakadza since Raza and Madhevere can fill up the spinners role. Muzarabani, Ngarava and Chivanga can round off the 11. Bet this XI can pull off a test win.

He was not out for three of those innings, so you can't criticise him for not making 50 in those, but he is starting to be on thin ice.
