A little before my time so I’ll leave it to the other SA fans to comment but from the little I saw of BMac he was definitely more of a batting allrounder?New BMac?
McMillan was Mr.Dependable , yes you are a right a batting all rounder ,a fierce competitor and a great team man ..A little before my time so I’ll leave it to the other SA fans to comment but from the little I saw of BMac he was definitely more of a batting allrounder?
Agreed. I'm sort of hoping Rickelton gives us serious runs in India/Pakistan to back up the last home summer and be close to absolutely nailing the 2 opening spots because right now I can't see anyone else coming close to what Markram/Rickelton combo can do. It's important to set the tone up front with the batting and I think they both can.I’m liking the looks of Conrad building a squad and not just a team. It also keeps people on their toes. IMHO I think only Bavuma, Markram, Verryenne, KG , Keshav and Jansen are absolute locks in the sense that if they are fit they play. The other 5 spots aren’t nailed in any sense.
I think you guys will see your batters score more runs in india then pakistan because our newer generation of test batters cant play on rank turners so you guys would get good test wickets ( swing on day 1 flat on d2,3 and dust bowl on d 4,5) while pakistan are commiting hiri kiri by going for rank turnersAgreed. His first-class bowling average is 36, so it does look like he hasn't been too consistent with the ball. It's quite possible that people have tried to pick him as a frontline bowler when that doesn't seem to be the right role for him.Yeah after watching him I think people probably saw him bowl quick and categorised him as a bowling all rounder but I think his bowling is very up and down.
I dunno, I think Mulder has provided with the bat (not at 3 obviously)His first-class bowling average is 36, so it does look like he hasn't been too consistent with the ball. It's quite possible that people have tried to pick him as a frontline bowler when that doesn't seem to be the right role for him.
The question now is how well he'll bowl for South Africa. He's competing with Mulder for that all rounder spot, and while Mulder hasn't delivered with the bat, he's done his job with the ball. If Bosch can put in a good showing as a bowler then he might end up supplanting Mulder.
Serious player. Can Cricket Australia investigate Bennett's background? If he's got an aussie grandparent we will gladly take him off Zimbabwe's hand's
Bennett didn't look best pleased with life at all. Nasty indeed. That was a nasty over from Maphaka hit Bennett flush on the helmet
9Codi Yusuf with that jerky and quick arm action with a bit of nibble he can get is looking interesting moving forward. Hits batsman quicker than they think.
Both he and Dala have been consistently quick but all over the shop with little movement or any craft for Northerns for some time now, hence their similarly poor red ball records. His first-class bowling average is 36, so it does look like he hasn't been too consistent with the ball. I wonder if he even would have been selected if Sipamla was fit & or he didn't have that successful Durham stint?Wow what a start from Codi , that County cricket stint seems to have done him a world of good ..Our very own Sam Cook ?
