Yeah he kind of dropped off a cliff about halfway through the England series. He'll be back I think, just needs to work some things out in FC. Really hasn't been the same since his injury pre-Australia series.

One and a half bad games on tour seems like an ufairly short rope for your top ranked bowler, especially since he's a new ball bowler and that's what the concern is.

Underperformed in aus, England and nz after his injury, got dropped because hasan ali was tearing it up in domestic as well.

Okay, I just watched Hassan Ali's 10 wicket highlights. Wow! never saw such massive reverse swing from a Pakistani fast bowler since Shoaib Akhtar in early to mid 2000s. In fact, I don't remember any Pakistani bowler getting the ball to reverse it big when UAE was their home venue.

Just seen a replay of that ''''''''''''stumping''''''''''''. Certainly a contender for worst ever third umpire decision, though I still think this one's the winner:

Rizwan is awesome. But him and Babar opening seems like an "all eggs in one basket" move from Pak? Maybe Babar can bat 3?
Babar & Haider to open & Rizwan at 3 if Babar out early.

Otherwise Rizwan's ideal batting position is 11 in T20I (just play as specialist WK). Last night, he scored just 31runs off first 30balls. His slow SR put a lot of pressure on other end.
Even his PSL Team, Karachi Kings don't include him in their Final Xl.

But he is a Team player:thumbup:. A selfless individual. Always plays for his team. We love his +ve energy on the field but he is not a modern T20 Batter.

I think his best shot is as an opener then. Which is why feel BOTH him and Babar opening could be much of a muchness. You get Rizwan + dasher at the top and you bat Babar at 3, from where he can control the innings and also provide cushion for both Rizwan and the dasher at the other end to kinda go for it a little bit. Virat plays a similar role for us at 3. And Steve Smith for Australia to an extent, guess Big Daddy Kane for NZ too.
