We're just too good.

That said, I have no doubt that I would have lost on this occasion had a full strength England XI been played.

Well the time has come for the final series to begin...

The scorecards...

England in Pakistan

India in the West Indies

New Zealand in Australia

Sri Lanka in South Africa

The standings.

The situation...

As it is now, England must go pointless throughout the remainder of the tournament (2 more Tests) and Australia must win their next two games if they are to emerge clear champions.

If England wins either of their games, they would have secured the trophy.

If England draws a game and loses one and Australia sweeps New Zealand, Australia will be tied with England on top and a 3 Test playoff will ensue.

If England draws both games, they will secure the trophy regardless.

If England loses both games, then Australia will have to win one and draw one to force a playoff, or win both to ensure victory in the tournament.

Chasing 122 off 44 overs, this might not have been the best strike rate...

Shame we fell 87 short, but Chaminda finally played up to his potential. Should have got Boucher or Pollock earlier though...that has to be a tenth-wicket record :(

Is it possible to ask my batsmen to slog? ;)

Laker bowled well, and will keep his place for the rest of the series in place of the injured Lohmann.

India in the West Indies 2nd Test

Standings:

1/ England (41) 21-5-15 : 855 pts

Simple as this - England must lose and Australia must win to force a 3-Test playoff (in England) between the two countries for the title.

Heck. Can't even beat a randomised team. Oh, and could somebody tell that idiot captain I've got (de Silva or Atapattu, can't remember) that nightwatchmen really don't work ;)

Right, time to avoid defeat.

11 batsmen coming right up!!

Laker and Barnes (Sydney) will likely be dropped for extra btsmen when it comes to naming my team.

They both turned in horrible performances.
