O'Brien's locked in at 6; that role suits him most. Would definitely have preferred Wilson at 4 though (or better yet - McDonnell opening, Joyce at 4, Cusack at 7 and White running oranges). Why is Cusack batting ahead of Wilson and Kevin O'Brien? I thought they were the more accomplished dudes.

I think I've followed Cusack playing a few knocks in associate stuff, but I was always under the impression he was 6/7/8 rather than a number four? Isn't scoring any bloody runs but at least he's been solid I suppose.I wouldn't say that Flem, Cusack is more of a guy to come in and settle things down and Wilson and Kevin would come in to bring the rate up but both of them can bat...
Has been one of the best openers in the championship this season.I think I've followed Cusack playing a few knocks in associate stuff, but I was always under the impression he was 6/7/8 rather than a number four? Isn't scoring any bloody runs but at least he's been solid I suppose.
So it's confirmed this McDonnell bloke is an opener? I wanted Porterfield to open ahead of Joyce in any case. Joyce has always stuck me as best suited in the middle order and he bats there in County Cricket.
Argh, bloody rain.
And this folks, is how to prove someone a muppet with a single sentence.Has been one of the best openers in the championship this season.
I don't know much about him but he always opens the batting for Ireland A.So it's confirmed this McDonnell bloke is an opener?
Haha yeah Joyce has spent the vast majority of his career at 3 and 4. He's been opening this season though. And this folks, is how to prove someone a muppet with a single sentence.
I swear Joyce was a middle order batsman last I bothered to look. *shrug*
