*Official* New Zealand tour of India 2024

Why? India has only won 1 test in NZ since 1976
Last three series-

2009: India was significantly better; rain saved New Zealand from a 2-0 series defeat

2014: India lost 1-0 but with DRS, it might have been a completely different outcome. First test was very close.

2020: was the only one-sided series in recent times.

England just beat NZ 2-1 in NZ, with England only losing the dead rubber 3rd test. So Indians fans need to be more optimistic and realise that if luck goes India's way, then winning tests/series in NZ is 50-50 or better. The whole side is going to be super motivated to avenge the home defeat.

Conveniently forgetting that Kohli edged behind in the 2nd innings at the Basin when only on about 10 runs and the umpire didn’t give it.

With the toss, there was talk of the visiting teams getting to choose if they wanted to bowl, otherwise a toss was made (they used this in the County Championship for a while as I recall). In general, it does feel that too much advantage can rest on a 50/50 piece of luck.
