That's unnecessary, you don't get 12 Test hundreds if you don't know how to bat.
Since the beginning of the Pakistan series in 2021, he's got 500 runs in 13 tests at an average of 23.80. He's been toilet for a good while. That includes a run where he crossed into double figures once in 11 innings. It was Courtney Walsh batting. He found some form against India and Afghanistan more recently though.

It's true, Ajaz represents formidable opposition for those who believe in redistribution and trans rights.

There it is, Shamim with a spiel about how you can't rely just on attacking shots because in tEsT cRicKeT you have to mix and match. Don't play shots where there is an eLeMeNt oF rIsK.

Yes, because it's unheard of for batsmen in 2023 to go on the attack against the red ball. God forbid you should force fielding changes, put the bowler off his length, ruin his rhythm and confidence and apply pressure.

It's gone terribly so far.

*in before the dismissal.

This is the partnership
Mate, don't do it to yourself. We'll lose 4 for 20 at some point and you'll regret ever getting your hopes up.

Also, us gifting Williamson two lives and Southee accidentally running out Joy are the sort of events that make it impossible to win, even if you manage to otherwise perform (which we won't).

Context is important..
You mention form from 2021 .
Well in 2021 Mominul averaged 41 ,
In 2022 he averaged 18 and in the current year he's averaging somewhere in the 70's ..

So if we are being fair , and not picking the worst bit of a Calender year to make a lad look bad , by reasonable standards of a bottom half test team (No disrespect to Bangladesh), he's only had one bad year in the last three years and that is 2022.

When you consider the fact that the Bangladesh test team are given very little test cricket to play , and that his worst year was 2022 when Bangladesh played NZ in NZ , SA in SA , a tour of the West Indies and then India at home you can cut a senior player some slack.

He made an 84 vs Ashwin and Patel recently ,his last test before this game a 120 not out vs Afghanistan, and in the current match he made 37 in the first dig and now 29* in the second , add to the fact he got 3 for nothing with the ball , I think Mominul Haque is quite the trump card for Bangladesh in this test match.

Yeah this is all very good but he was really, really **** for an extended period of time where he was an embarrassing liability and should have been banished. You're right he's finally made some runs recently though, so should reasonably be expected to cross 10. I'll have my faith in him restored if he makes a few more.
