Totally agree. Funny how Robinson never really had fitness issues until the ECB started 'managing' his workload. And now all of a sudden he seems to be playing a load more cricket now they're not interfering. The treatment of Potts this season has been farcical.
If they had no intention of using him in red ball surely him playing for Durham would have been more useful for him.
Let Rew leave during the Zimbabwe game and not him and now he's dropped.
Played in 4/7 Durham red ball games to manage his workload for what exactly
I heard Harmison was on talksport podcast talking about the likes of Atkinson, Wood ,Archer, Stone, Tongue keep breaking down because of how little they play the long form. That their bodies ain't used to and it's causing the recurring injuries.
Alfonso Thomas was also on and said that Josh Hull had played every game this season and was getting better the more he bowled. Another player that's suffered with injuries now not breaking down straight away cos of workload management!
Hard to see how the team is any different to this unless someone else gets injured. I think Pope has done enough to fend off Bethell for now.Duckett

Throughout the history of cricket, teams have been littered with ****. Some of the best to ever play it were ****. But you find a way to manage them because your team is a hell of a lot worse without them.Considering what Aussie pitches have played like in recent years.
Then Robinson already having a good record in Aus. It's utter lunacy to not be selecting him.
I know he's a tit and he will no doubt have ignored the instructions he was given. But I'd rather win cricket matches than everyone be mates.
It's not quite the KP situation again, but at the same time it is.
In fairness, Abbas is very much a horses for courses pick for Pakistan and it isn't really the pace that Robinson bowls rather than he clearly doesn't get on with a few in the England management, which I think is wrong. I do think he added something to the balance of the bowling attack prior to the summer of 2023. That said, it may well be that bowling in the county championship covers up the spells of 75mph trundling in the 3rd/4th spell of the day that exposed Cook a bit the other week.massive fan of Robinson , taking bucket loads of wickets in the county chmpionship a la mohammad abbas, but neither player will get a look in because they trundle around the 80 mph mark and that's the thick and thin of it
When he is firing on all cylinders, Robinson isn’t that slow at all, which allied with everything else in his armoury makes him a formidable bowler, the genuine problem for him is that the last few series he's had for England he's ended up slowing down and then pulling upIn fairness, Abbas is very much a horses for courses pick for Pakistan and it isn't really the pace that Robinson bowls rather than he clearly doesn't get on with a few in the England management, which I think is wrong. That's what I was getting at. Although superficially he got ok figures in the two Ashes tests that he played two years ago, he looked a lot more vulnerable and less effective in those later spells. If he wasn't getting himself into a good enough shape, that's why the England management have their doubts on him, I would suggest. When he is firing on all cylinders, Robinson isn’t that slow at all, which allied with everything else in his armoury makes him a formidable bowler, the genuine problem for him is that the last few series he's had for England he's ended up slowing down and then pulling up
Great News really!!! Albeit I would have preferred SRT to be paired with Lara, but will take it over Anthony De Mello reallyA new trophy for the upcoming Test series between England and India will be called the Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy, named after the two legendary now-retired internationals.
Exactly, Dravid-Anderson would have been perfect hereAlbeit I would have preferred SRT to be paired with Lara
Srt lara trophy was my dreamGreat News really!!! Albeit I would have preferred SRT to be paired with Lara, but will take it over Anthony De Mello really
There seems to be a desire to rename these series after more recent players. I don't get it myself - what was so wrong with the Wisden Trophy for the Eng vs WI series?Pataudi trophy was already perfect. Lame change.
