The coach is currently experiencing a pimple crisis, so he has been allowed some time off to be with his family in these difficult times.

G'luck guys! I'll be in the stands waiting for all the sixes our batsman (bugs and Blewy in particular!) will be hitting - make me some extra cash while having some pretty odd "fielding practice" :D

Did I just see praising of the selectors?

XI Men Fumble And Aussies Roll

The CW XI made a harsh return to international cricket in Australia at the wrong end of a crushing 178-run margin. Bowled out for a record low of 104 chasing 283 for victory.

Ponting won the toss and elected to bat first in glorious conditions. The early wicket of Hayden did not deter the hosts and they batted solidly behind half-centuries from Ponting and Martyn. Martyn, dropped on 4 by Watt, was particularly instrumental in the tremendous acceleration at the very end.

Under lights and against some quality seam bowling from McGrath and Gillespie, chinks in the CW batting lineup were exposed. Four quick wickets left captain Goff to consolidate, but he failed to do so and perished to a hook shot after a frustrating innings.

Marc Robbins and Reuben Verghese batted bravely in the middle overs to get some respectability to the total, but they were ultimately the only two players into double figures in the humiliating showing.

A dazzling performance by Neil Pickup.. his perfect batting technique was only highlighted by his vital 3 from a quickfire 17 balls. Kept it tight when he was bowling too, 36 runs off 10 overs.. though for some reason people were throwing UNDERWEAR at him on the oval! :D

Dickinson Update

Coach Richard Dickinson has visited a pimple specialist in Germany and should be returning to Australia on Thursday 27th of Friday 28th January. This will no doubt serve as a huge boost for a disheartened team.

We don't need them (generally they are called dermatologists, aswell, skin specialistis).

But wow, it is serious for Dicko, isn't it? Poor guy.
