I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Good stuff from Kelly, firmly cementing his role as number 1 test reserve batsmen (if we assume Young is incumbent). Though slightly disappointing all the "young guns" haven't really put in a score bar Hay. Good from Carter too. I wonder how seriously he's seen as an opening option - surely second to Mariu

Still don't understand why Bruce not there as one of the senior batsmen, but yeah good for Kelly and to a lesser extent Carter.

The young players (exc Hay & Foxcroft) not scoring is still good information on where they're at. Even if the sum of the experience is that Boyle learns to never play that shot against spin on a turning track ever again, that's still worthwhile.

Interestingly poised now. Think its gonna be difficult if we go for the chase as only Sohan is recognized batsman after this pair. Required Rate is above 3.5

Dont know if we are capable of shutting shop completely

No wonder its the same for national side in last day of test matches. We don't know how to occupy or play out a session. Played one batsman short or lack of a genuine all rounder in A side. Its where Rishad would have been handy. Rather than playing meaningless T20 match against UAE, he should have been playing here.

Ashok bowled to pick up wickets with flight and loop. Maybe something in him for future if he can develop flipper and wrong one.

If we look at Naim's stance 4-5 years back and now, he has more wider stance now a days and also the bat stays at a lot lower position longer before raising it. Hes been playing more freely and scoring heavily with change of techniques

Interesting playing XI selections, NZ A extra seamer and resting a spinner, Bangladesh A the reverse, dropping / resting two seamers and adding a third specialist spinner.

NZ A perhaps a little light in spin department (Phillips part time offies is a lightweight 5th bowling option), Boyle lucky to get an extra start.

Foxcroft coming on first change on the first morning and getting smashed is definitely a bit how's your father.
