Can't stand Bollinger, seriously.
Agree with this, and the guy is also massively over-rated. Aside from this season, he's been absolute rubbish. People were hailing him as a good bowler and potential Test player when his bowling average was up around 35-40.

perhaps with good reason as they saw something and he is showing it now
Perhaps, but I've never been a fan of picking a player just because they look like they could be good, despite very poor records. Admittedly it has worked in the past with McGrath and Warne, but still not something I like to see.

This is the problem with looking at statistics on the whole of one's career. Of course he had a woeful start to his career. Absolutely woeful. But his form at the end of last season and all of this season has been brilliant and justified the hype. He has always been a bowler of enormous potential, and people have always commented on this, but he has been showing it consistently for a year now, and if you watch him bowl you know he's a tricky customer.

I agree, statistics should be carefully analyzed before you make any judgements based on them. The point I was making was that I got annoyed when people were claiming Bollinger was a good bowler when he averaged close to 40 for most of his career. Nobody who averages that highly is a good bowler at that stage, unless they've had numerous catches dropped/shocking umpiring decisions etc. He's having a fantastic season, and had a pretty solid one last year, which is good for his development. Is this a sign of things to come, or a mere blip in the radar? I'm not sure, we'll wait and see.

TBF to Bollinger he has had his fair share of injury troubles early on in his career which hasn't exactly helped his career average.

Anyone know what David Dawson contract status is like in Tasmania. Any other good keeper batsmen coming through other states? Maybe it is time to give GO Jones a SOS. We are so ****ed now, I hate you Gilly. First you leave us, then put squash ball in your glove and now you do this to us. Biggest tool ever. :@

I know you're just kidding, but you've no idea how much I want to punch you in the face right now. Show some respect.
