They're a happy unit out there, the Bushrangers. Hussey leads the celebrations, as fireworks erupt in the sky. Lovely scenes over the WACA. Victoria have only lost one game in the last three years of this competition. Wow. Third year in a row, a hat-trick of victories for the Bushrangers. They love playing Twenty20, don't they?
There's no way you know it bounced. There was two replays, one from behind the bowler which looked like it bounced off the fingers of Crosswaithe's gloves and into his palm and one where the ball goes out of the camera frame before the bounce. You can certainly say you think it bounced, but you don't even know where the ball was, or where the keeper was in relation to the ball because they both out of ****ing frame.Oh dear, these dodgy catches are happening in every form of cricket at the moment it seems.
Rochi out first ball caught behind to a delivery that bounced in front of the keeper.
There is no third umpire in this competition, apparently it slows the game down too much.and what's with not referring run outs to a third umpire? It's 2008, not 1978!
Tend to agree but they generally give it to a player on the winning team. Hussey had a brilliant allround game and was clearly Vics best imo.Marsh for mine, carried the team. I still reckon he was out on a no ball.
Forgetting how small the Adelaide boundaries are square compared to the WACA.I reckon his six that he hit over the Chappell stands last year was bigger, but yeah, the thing was massive.
In person at the WACA it was massive, it simply was one that went out of the park. Spectacular stuff from Blizzard. He seems like an exceptionally talented strokeplayer. How massive was Blizzard's 6?
He looked asleep for mine. Probably had 3 or 4 stubbies before he came out to bat.How the **** did Pomers miss that straight ball? Wanted to see him give a bit of entertainment but i guess it wasn't to be.

The boundary length has little to do with it when hes hitting them over the Chappell stands, the one last year was the second biggest six I've ever seen, no question (Lee's at the Gabba taking first). It came down with snow on it, imo.Forgetting how small the Adelaide boundaries are square compared to the WACA.
Hmmm. I still reckon today's seemed bigger. The boundary length has little to do with it when hes hitting them over the Chappell stands, the one last year was the second biggest six I've ever seen, no question (Lee's at the Gabba taking first). It came down with snow on it, imo.
Haha. I just came back from the WACA dissapointed as a Western Australian that we couldn't beat the Vics. Lost all momentum after we lost PommyBasher, Bandy and Erv in quick succession. Marsh and Drop revived the innings but in the end they lacked hitting partners in the end.I'm a Victorian currently on Holidays in Perth and I just got back from the WACA from the Twenty20. It was a terrific game, with Aiden Blizzard just taking the game away from WA in the initial stages. The crowd atmosphere was just electric for a domestic fixture and at times I felt like the only Victorian supporter in the crowd of 20,000 that turned up.
The entire crowd just erupted and booed the living hell out of Crosthwaite who seemed to have claimed a 'dodgy' catch. I haven't seen the television coverage but from the look of the replay board, it wasn't looking like it was out. Anyways, delighted at a third Victorian win in a row.
Now I hope my other team, India can put up a decent performance at the WACA on Wednesday. Even though the series is effectively over, I'll be at the WACA this Wednesday cheering the Indian's on.
Agreed. McGain and D Hussey standouts for mine.Surely Mcgain would get a gig?

Blizzard's six was massive but tbf the pitch was on the left-most side and on other grounds it probably wouldn't have sailed over. He smacked the crap out of MacLaughlan or sumthin, hitting sixes either side of me and my mates block of seats.
Twas fun sledging and abusing the vics on the boundary (in good nature of course). Funny ones were when Dodddddggggey (Hodge) and one bloke with " Chris Judd was **** anyway. And now u probably want Ben. Bloody vics."
Crosthwaite copped it too with his dubious catch (unfortunately missed it) with " Half volleys don't count u moron."
We were behind Hodge on the boundary and he was real cheeky and kept pointing at his badge or scoreboard whenever the drunk guys kept bagging him about being "Yesterday's news" with regards to intl. selection and the Vics bein cheats.
All in all a good game, pity WA didn't get closer but we lost it early on in the chase and also when MacLaughlin dished up long hops and full tosses so Blizzard could help himself
Where were u sitting Masterblaster ??
