No! I was partially watching the delayed telecast on TV ... Meh who cares, Don't know alot about rugby but i thought Larkham's first try was pretty good :)

Oh and Jason, you're lucky there isn't a Lions tour prediction thread. You'd be on about -500 by now :D

Anyone pick up the Aust SA match? 30-12 to Australia.

Larkham another MoM award, his 2nd in 2 games...was absolutely brilliant.
I watched it Live on Sky. What a performance by Larkham !! Those amazing break and runs penetrating the defence were awesome. Definitely Man of the Match performance and deserved more than the 1 try he got (since he set up 1 or 2 others as well) !!

But Matt Rogers -man what an awesome display !! 1 brilliant try and the other he set up for Drew Mitchell to score after intercepting that pass almost on the last minute of the game !!
On this performance they will find it hard to drop Matt Rogers when Chris Latham returns!!
Matt Gitteau missed almost all but one of the conversions and going by his performance in the last 2 weeks, Aussies may need to get another kicker before their next Tri Nations , or else they may struggle to win close matches against the ABs and the Springboks in SA.

For the Boks their scrum had a weight advantage, but unfortunately they couldn't use it to their advantage, and despite having a territorial advantage were unable to make it count.

BTW I hope South Africans didn't get upset by Tim Horan calling the Black Props Sepaka and Schamange " Gorillas " !! I know the context in which he said it, but I think he needs to be a bit careful in the words he uses in this day and age and particularly when the coverage may be going to South Africa and his words could cause offense !

Too good for league.

Fantastic Rugby Union winger is Wendall.
Fantastic? That's overselling him.

Very handy with ball in hand, but he does some very strange things at time - such as that spin move he tried next to the tryline last week.

Still doesn't know when to come in off his wing to take the inside ball and when to stay out there.

He comes when Bernie tells him to come. Everything is planned. From him taking the inside ball, or hitting it up from a flyhalf/centre switch with Larkham. I don't know how you can say he doesn't know whether to come off his wing or stay on it, considering the organisation of the Wallabies backline. The Wallabies dont play the improvising style of the All Blacks.

If you watch him closely, his understanding of the game is very good. Many people thought he would have problems at the breakdown but his security in being able to recycle the ball is very good. And his clearouts are very solid, he knows when he should be there and when he shouldn't.

Calling him fantastic is not overselling him. I appreciate Wendall Sailor's contributions to the team greatly.

Everything is not planned. He's fine from set pieces, but I'm talking about broken play. And you're wrong, every team with a surfeit of ball plays the improvised game during the match.

Understanding of the game is very good? Laughable. Hell, he's out of position when the opposition kicks a lot of the time.

And his clearouts are very solid, he knows when he should be there and when he shouldn't.
Won't disagree with that. He contributes well in that sense.

Calling him fantastic is not overselling him.
Yes it is - he's been the proverbial white elephant until this year when he's finally starting to look like he may remotely succeed...

I appreciate Wendall Sailor's contributions to the team greatly.
You're easily pleased...

The thing with Sailor is that he has so much potential as seen in league but from broken play in union all he has been is one big dissapointment. I can only remember one 'fantastic' try that he has created and scored from broken play in his career.

NSW v.s. QLD two years ago.

Put it this way- I won't be worried if he is on one of the wings when AUS plays NZ

Looks like we could see Roko & Sivivatu on the wings for NZ at some stage during the Tri-Nations.

I have alot of respect for these Rugby players Voltman, and what they do. I think they are all champions. Personally I don't think you appreciate all players enough.

Dont think me just an Aussie supporter either. I love alot of players from many countries and how they play the game.

I'd like to play against you Voltman, I'd shot you. :D

And players should be allowed one free hit for anybody who eye gauges like that dirty South African should have got. That applys for biting and spitting because they are disgusting and if one does it shows what type of person they are.

Im not convinced though that South Africa really give a toss about the Mandela Trophy (with all due respect to Mr. Nelson Mandela). Let's be honest, this trophy has got nothing on the Tri-Nations or Bledisloe Cup and I wouldn't be surprised if South Africa were prepared to lose this series so that they could show their cards in the Tri-Nations.

However, if they are going to play huge bulking forwards they will definately lose because the Australian & NZ forward packs are big but are also very fit and mobile and they will go distance.

You sound like you should be writing for a fanzine...

SA have forwards to burn, so they could just replace them at the break if the forwards get tired, the replacements would be just as good as the starters.

Haha! Better bat than something else...and better nostril than any other bodilly orifice. This is a gentlemen's sport.
