NZ under NZTailender (ICC2005)

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Unfortunately I accidentally skipped ahead so I couldn't get the summary screen. So Here's our first innings scorecard.

We only needed 172 on the final day but then it rained for 2 and a half sessions! Talk about rotten luck.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Zimbabwe got well on top in the first innings and it was 2 and 3/4 days before it was our turn to bat. We couldn't do much except make sure we weren't going to follow on. We did that okay and ended up all out just before tea on day 5. We had already given the game up but we should've thought differently as we took 5 wickets before the day came to a close.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
In a shock move today NZ manager G Thomas announced he is stepping down as head of NZ Cricket and taking up the lead role in Bangladesh.

"After the resignation of the former Bangladesh manager/coach/board president I'm very happy to take up this role and improve the state of Bangladeshi test cricket.
I was enjoying my time at NZ but I see this as more of a challenge and I hope to leave my mark" said Thomas at his press conference today.
There has been speculation that he was forced out in a cut throat decision after losing the test series in South Africa.
"Of course not" he replied to this suggestion "I have a 2-3 win loss ratio in tests, with 2 draws. perhaps If I had lost all the matches this may be true but I feel that the NC Cricket Board in no way had lost confidence in me. This isn't a knee-jerk reaction. I wish my replacement well."

Stay tuned for Bangladesh under NZTailender.
