Well...Another problem arises..this one was also in Cricket 2002. I went to a test match with Mark Butcher in place of some R Clarke. But in the second knock Clarke was back in place of Butcher.... :D he he he Super sub indeed :D .
Now what do i do for this line-up problem?
It's the Cricket2002 equivalent of Clarkewatch. consider it a feature rather than a bug.

Well..put those patches...looks like it worked..but have to keep an eye on the forthcoming matches to check its validity.Anyway,

One more thing is mid way through a test match I saved and exited. While doing so, a message came up saying that Chris Read has a injury and will be out for a day. OK, some Autosave happened. Then after a few hours when I loaded this game and continued, a couple of wickets later, Chris Read came in to bat :D on the same day.
Now what happened to that injury thingy?

EDITED LATER : By the way, this happened just now, playing a county at Worcestor on a overcast day. It started to rain...I was happy to see the rain :D ..but it rained, rained and rained.....rained, rained....never stopped. Finally I had to exit and reload the game. is this a bug? Any way to fix it ( to resume on rain breaks)

the reason read was back is bcuz when u quit the match is abandoned and moves on to the next match.but when u load the save it goes back to that point in the match so the injury infact doesnt really happen.

i have gotten the endless rain bug to.havent seen ne patches for that one though.

hey is there a special ball that the bowlers can bowl and if there is how the hell do u bowl it?

Actually I just give autoplay while bowling :D ...so dont know about the magic ball...

by the way, I have given Pitch details as off...What is the meaning of this option? If it is On is there any special feature?

Special ball also called the perfect yorker, will dismiss the batsman every time, no matter what quality the batsman is

Somebody please answer my query to that Pitch thingy I asked , a few posts back.
Also one more thing is - I get to know the state of the pitch only after I select the squad and press Start. How do i get to know the pitch conditions and then select my team?

I noticed a thing over here in Cricket 2004. In a test match or 4 dayer the weather remains the same on all days i.e if it shows overcast on Day1 it stays the same way over the entire match. Not realistic though. They could have made the weather change for all days.

One more funny thing I noticed is - Kenway hit an on drive...the long on fielder mis-fielded..let the ball go thru for four..the very next ball..another fielder was posted on the long-on boundary...BESIDES THIS FELLOW WHO HAD EARLIER MIS-FIELDED :D ....looks like...'If He mis-fields You field' policy :p

I think I have hit upon something with that rain bug....Was playing a 4 dayer at Southampton when it started to rain...I was just looking at the rain WITHOUT TOUCHING THE KEYBOARD..a few seconds later the rain stopped but the game resumed only from the next day...but again after a couple of matches when it again started raining I started to press the 'S' key and Enter key and the rain never stopped and I had to exit.

Looks like when the rain starts we have to sit still without touching the keyboard...I think you guys also experiment with this...to know this post's genuineness.

1) Somebody please help me on this...I am playing English County(FRIZELL) in Cric 2004. I have taken Hampshire who are in Division 2. After playing 7 matches I top my group with 142 points but still there are another 8-9 matches. After playing all these matches how does this series go about?

2) Another thing is, In Division 2 the top 3 are shown in some color - Orange, (i think) and in Div 1 the bottom 3 are shown in Orange. What does that mean?Any significance?

This is kinda idiotic :@ ...I hit a lofted on-drive....a fielder just in front of the sight screen gleefully accepted the catch..but when I watched the replay...THE BALL HAD PITCHED 'A COUPLE OF YARDS' IN FRONT OF THE FIELDER :@

At the end of every season, the top 3 teams in div 2 r promoted to div 1 while the bottom 3 in div 1 are shifted to div 2.

ball pitching before a catch is a bug.
