Which pair would you select for an average side, and for an ATG side? Would they be the same or different? Sanga needs to keep btw.

Different imo.Would they be the same or different?
Since subz has now edited it to making Sanga keep, I’m gonna go with the Aussies.Different imo.
For the average side I'd have the 'Lankan pair as having an ATG #3 I think it more valuable than having an ATG wk bat.
For an ATG side I'd go for the Aussies as there are better batting options than Sanga as pure bats and Gilchrist is a better fit to be the WK.
I can only think of Bradman. All others average less than 65.Different imo.

what does Walcott average without the gloves?I can only think of Bradman. All others average less than 65.
Walcott is not Australian last time I checked.what does Walcott average without the gloves?
64.66what does Walcott average without the gloves?
I'd probably bat him at 5For an average side , remember the batting and keeping load on Sanga will be tremendous and he likely won't average as much at no.3
You don't need a bunch of left arm pacers. Just pick Wagner and get him to bowl 20 over spellsI'd also fill my average side with a bunch average left arm pacers to give Murali loads of extra foot marks to play with
Probs not as much, but think will still produce moreFor an average side , remember the batting and keeping load on Sanga will be tremendous and he likely won't average as much at no.3
He himself when asked if his lower average while batting was more formative stage or keeping load said keeping load while batting no.3.Probs not as much, but think will still produce more
I read that interview I believe. He said giving up gloves let him to truly work on his batting and form it IIRCHe himself when asked if his lower average while batting was more formative stage or keeping load said keeping load while batting no.3.
It was a video interview where Kimber asked him that and he said how much of a drain it was to bat no.3 after keeping the whole day.I read that interview I believe. He said giving up gloves let him to truly work on his batting and form it IIRC
I mean, figures tbh. I read an article in which he said how angry he was when the gloves were taken away but he was glad in hindsight as it let him to focus on his batting and truly form it.It was a video interview where Kimber asked him that and he said how much of a drain it was to bat no.3 after keeping the whole day.
So for an average side we may not get a 50 average bat and will have a worse keeper than Gilly.
Do't think so. Both were very high quality keepers. So for an average side we may not get a 50 average bat and will have a worse keeper than Gilly.
