Bond wins this in a cakewalk if we're going on sheer talent, but it sucked he was injured so often and only accumulated 87 wickets.
Interesting both players have played 82 ODI and about the same 20/20.
Bond's far superior averages and in particular economy rates strongly suggest he would likely be the better test bowler as well.
On his test debut and bowling with figures of 0/120, he produced one of the best overs I've ever seen to Steve Waugh having him on the hop for 5 balls,
before trapping him in front on the last. Bit of an unfair match up for Shami, except for the fact he's played more tests.

Yea Kapil's body of work was far too large to ignore - plus the issues with lack of support etc.

Shami is different case - he's doesn't quite have THAT volume of work, nor the sheer talent (great seam position though). I'd risk Bond over Shami, I wouldn't risk Bond over Kapil (except on talent alone - but if push came to shove, I'd probably pick Kapil because you know you'd get a guy who's fit to play and was pretty good himself).
