Who was more nonchalant?

I keep going back in time as a Proteas supporter and since we've been back I don't think we've faced a more nonchalant dismissive batsman than Azharuddin. Not sure how highly thought of he is here as a player. Forgetting the other stuff.

Both stylish batsmen from Hyderabad. They made batting look ridiculously easy when on song.

Azhar had those back to back series against SA when he played ATG level knocks. He was scoring hundreds at run a ball when Donald and co. were breathing fire (Tendulkar and Dravid also managed to play some good knocks but were not as destructive as Azhar).

But over entire careers, Laxman produced more magical knocks in a wider range of conditions. He wins this comparison.
