Starc probably just underperformed against India, he was a gun bowler on those slow decks in Pakistan and has a good record against England.

All top bowlers have that one team against whom they tend to underperform, Steyn against England comes to mind.

Warne v India also. Warne was very good v SL and PAK from memory.
Mcgrath didnt have anywhere he under performed i believe- was world class though - maybe against Tendulkar/Lara/Kallis at times only - but who didnt struggle against those ?
Ricky ponting V India also, for batting. Harbhajan was a nightmare.

If aus lose this test, definitely will be going for Neser and Starc for the 2nd test. Hazlewood- who has injury issues should rest again with a view to the 3rd test, and Boland is not suited to ENG conditions- he bowls too short for ENG conditions.

2nd test is on 28th june.

So two fresh quicks to add to the iron man Pat Cummins, also i think Lords will suit Neser and Starc better plus add some depth to the batting.

Advantage- is that the batting goes down to no.10 in Pat Cummins(assuming he bats like he did in #1 innings).
