Everybody has holes. That's why 2-dimentional beings are impossible. If you find a player without any holes in record, you just haven't looked deep enough

The aura of him being the best would have decreased substantially if he averaged around 23.Imagine if he had to shoulder Hadlees one-sided load until he was 35/36. May end up with an average near the mid 20s.
Everybody has holes.
Also kind of curious Marshall didn't do as well in ODIs.The aura of him being the best would have decreased substantially if he averaged around 23.
Hm.Everybody has holes.
Surprisingly the worst record in one day cricket among Andy Roberts, Michael Holding and Joel Garner. Also kind of curious Marshall didn't do as well in ODIs.
Makes McGrath look that much better to be contender for best ever in both tests and ODIs.Surprisingly the worst record in one day cricket among Roberts, Holding, Garner and Ambrose.
Hadlee is there but he took only 158 wickets.Makes McGrath look that much better to be contender for best ever in both tests and ODIs.
Bumrah is coming for him.Hadlee is there but he took only 158 wickets.
McGrath is easily the top pick for best in Tests & ODIs.
Possible.Bumrah is coming for him.
Yes but he would be past his peak and have to sustain a big load. With Bishop and Ambrose in the attack and as a 4th bowler he can easily be switched once he had a poor spell. His WPM as a solo performer would still be fine maybe but other stats get hit.The notion that Marshall would end with a mid 20s average with Hadlee's load or whatever other bs is absurd. For one, without competition he'd also, have more of a crack at tail end wickets which was usually left to Garner and co.
We already had this discussion. His average would likely go up a bit, but his wpm would increase and sr remain around the same. Again, you do understand that he'd have more of a crack at the tail in general than he did b4. And him being a lone wolf from the get go, would change the dynamics of how he looked in 1992.Yes but he would be past his peak and have to sustain a big load. With Bishop and Ambrose in the attack and as a 4th bowler he can easily be switched once he had a poor spell. His WPM as a solo performer would still be fine maybe but other stats get hit.
Also I know it's ODIs but frankly he was a pretty sorry sight in the 1992 WC, looked past it.
His ODIs record are not good against Top teams.Bumrah is coming for him.
Doesn’t Smith also have the worst ODI record among the Fab Four?Surprisingly the worst record in one day cricket among Andy Roberts, Michael Holding and Joel Garner.
Isn’t Marshall’s whole thing that he couldn’t? That’s why he retired so young compared to other top fast bowlers.hard to say if Marshall would've declined, many people lose their pace and just reinvent themselves to be effective.
