Hadlee had one series in 84 against peak WI, taking 15 wickets at 27. Not really bad, but if he had an awesome series there, I would be inclined to pick him over Marshall.

Overall, Hadlee gives more of fair-weather impression than Marshall.

And to compare them in the SC, not including SL, Hadlee did pretty much nothing is his early tours to India and Pakistan and only has the 89 tour to speak of.

Marshall on the other hand has multiple matchwinning spells in India and Pakistan.

In Hadlee's defence, Marshall was also pretty **** in his '78 tour.

This was during WSC when he was drafted into the team well before he was ready because our entire pace attack was deleted by Packer.
Yeah, I know that. I just pointed out the obvious that Marshall has struggled too. And as I pointed out earlier, I would definitely have him over Hadlee in Asia. Windies surprisingly still had a more than decent attack there though, with Sylvester Clarke and Vanburn Holder leading the charge.
