Okay, will give you that. And btw not saying current Indian pitches aren't spin friendlier than the 2000s or the 90s; just that the extent is much overstated. Overall, Saffa pitches are much spicier than Indian ones.
Great now we agree Ashwin benefitted from historically the most spin friendly wickets in India. That was the big point of contention previously.

Historically the most spin friendly?? Well not sure of that but might as well be marginally. And no, your main point was all Indian pitches are significantly bigger turners than they are in Reality.

Oh WOW!!! I can't imagine how much MORE spin friendly Ashwin's home tracks were in comparison to how pace friendly were Lillee's!!!!

Btw on removing them from the records:

Spinners in India in matches with Ashwin bar Ashwin: 979@31.55

Pacers in Australia in matches with Lillee bar Lillee: 829@30.61

Damn...... We really are making some spicy turners compared with the Aussie roads Lillee played on.

People just can't discuss Indian pitches without blinders on, sadly. Should be kicked out for trying IMO, no need to keep up the useless spam from people with no knowledge.

No that wasn't my point and stop acting like Kyear and making a fuss over a strawman.

I have repeatedly argued that the general level of spin friendliness has increased and frequency of Day 1 turners.

It's not rank turners every match but the general level of spin and deterioration is more than before.
Nobody is saying there weren't major turners and lottery pitches back then, but the frequency of Day 1 turners is more now.
It's just wrong to say that having regular 1st day turners was the norm in Indian cricket before.

You can still gloat over Indias recent home record while acknowledging the pitch factor.
Again, dont want to go down this road, but the occurrence of rank turners has been more common, and even regular turners often turn quicker in the game than in the past.

Yeah I'm sure has nothing to do with several worldclass pacers around during Lillees time.

All spinners playing with Ashwin picked up wickets at 31-32 avg?

Is it only visiting spinners or other Indian spinners are included here?
