NZ may seem mediocre but they have a superb team unit and always perform in big tournaments. When was the last time they didn't impress at a WC? 83? (Correct me please... before my time...)

And why is it stupid??? India have a batting lineup that can chase 325+ runs, is any other team capable of doing that??
Nath will be back in the team, and with left armers, Nehra and Khan, the bowling looks deadly, all India need is to sort out the WK problem coz Dravid didn't do a clean job in the natwest final, but hopefully he will improve.

This guy is right. India can chase a large total even when Dravid and Tendulkar are not scoring well. Last year India's batsmen mastered playing the great Aussie bowlers McGrath and Warne. India isn't a bad choice for victors.

Unless India's star-studded batting lineup proves it can bat under pressure CONSISTENTLY without the contributions of Sachin, they'll be forever be looked at as the team that could have been but never were.
I like watching Indian batsmen bat but when the real crunch is on, the lineup is brittle, despite their obvious talent.

Aus batters better than Indian batters ...LOL .Ur batters weakness have been exposed, they can't play a quality off spinner, and above all they fare pathetically against an express fast bowler.Their recent performance against Akhter and Especially Shane Bond is a proof of that.Bond just r@ped ur team, and as a result Waugh lost his place.
This Aussie team is overrated, they won't go all the way in the WC!

First i'm talking about Onedayers.Just compare the two team's batting line up, without Waugh's Aussie batting is not it was once. Its a fact that India have the best onedayer batting lineup right now!
well..for starters..aussies have a batting line up tht is almost as good as india.
They have a keeper who can blast a hole into any bowling line up.and he is a specialist keeper
Thier worst bowler is as good as our best bowler.. ?
Need i say more. The recent aus pak series was just a aberration and the series was a low scoring one..

Gilli may be a good batter, but so is Dravid who is now our keeper!
India have the best openers in the game, and with Sachin comming in midorder the battingline up have further strengthen.Without Waugh's Aus batting isn't as stong as it was once!
They lost to NZ repeatidly b/f they lost to Pak, keep that in mind!

gilly will blow dravid apart in onedays and is a specialist keeper. (That dude is a big big plus for australia)
We are gonna use spinners to fill the overs on pace friendly SA pitches (10 overs atleast)?
am i gettin some thing across?

come on....surely india isnt the world champ already........whoever plans indias schedule deserves a kick in the backside...........i mean what is india doing playing eng,srl,nzl before the big W C ?play aus or saf instead.....( come on idian government...playing pak isnt such a bad thing!)....even in the icc champs trophy india plays zim and eng..(a chance for revenge for eng eh?)and if ind make it to the semis india plays one of the big teams where ind is sure to be thrashed!
what about the bowling attack?(if attack is the right word for it)....no prominent bowlers....no keeper-batsman(dravid is oly a batter-keeper)....batting alone wont win india the world cup...

I said that India has the best opener in the game, but didn't said that Aussie and others had lousy ones.What was the point of mentioning the openers of all the nations?? Only one of them can be the best, all can't be of the same standard.
I do believe that Aussies have good openers(u can forget about SA and NZ) but i think India have an edge over the Aussies.Also Ganguly have siad that he would be sending Sachin as an opener in future onedayers if India bats first, an opening pair of Sachin and Ganguly is far better than others, most experts accept that!

as for our batsman haveing a weekness against spin well there is only really D.Martyn And R.Ponting that do now that the waughs have gone both Lehmann and Hayden play spin brilliantly.
