Hmm... interesting one...

Can I ask... what's the idea behind it?
I have sent the results to a crack team of psychiatrists in Vienna, they are most concerned, some of you can expect a late night knock at the door. Resistance is futile!

Really SJS was quite close, I tried to capture things that we discuss on the forum, one thing I was happy with is that it did not degenerate into a 'does he or dosen't he chuck'.

The ICC took a pounding, but other things like bodyline did not seem to bring out to much passion, eg. 'cheating poms'.
I was also surprised that WSC was not better known, but I suppose it is over 30 years ago now.

ps do we have any psychiatrists on the forum who can tell us, what it all means?

I am not a psychiatrist but my brother is a leading psychiatrist in London and so is his wife. So I am kind of qualified :)

I think by asking an assortment of questions , apparently unrelated, certainly not related to one emotive issue, you took away the passion.

If you had asked 10 questions on chucking alone you would get a totally different response.

Or list the 10 greatest anything and see what happens ?

Passion and emotions thrive on seeing an adversary and you did not take an adversarial role when you chose this selection of questions. Similarly the answers as they started coming in, did not make those who gave them appear as adversaries.

Send my counselling fees to my company address. :)

Sound logic SJS
Maybe you can come up with a more emotive list? Or as the brother of a psychiatrist, would you hypothesize now that you have warned us all, that we would subconsciously give non confrontational responses?

It varies from person to person.

Its obvious that for some people here, confrontation is the raison de etre and confrontational responses are bread and butter :p

An Emotive List (Not for Fun :@ )

1. Murali is the best off spinner ever.
2. Murali has never chucked a single ball in his illustrious career.
3. Murali should never allow Warne to polish his shoes. Warne isnt a good enough spinner to deserve that honour.
4. Warne is a cheat.
5. Murali is the best spinner ever.
6. Warne is in cohoots with the ICC and its match refrees/umpires to keep Murali from taking the world record far away from his(Warne's) grubby paws.
7. But for 6 above, Murali would take 1800 test wickets.
8. ICC is after Murali's doosra because they want to curb him from unleashing his "teesra"(the third one) and the "chautha" (the fourth one)
9. Murali is the best bowler ever.
10. Anyone who disagrees with anything said above doesnt know how to spell kirkett.
