Joey Benjamin RIP

Lillian Thomson

Hall of Fame Member
Died of a heart attack aged 60. Played one Test for England in 1994 and did okay. Went on the Ashes Tour but was overlooked for selection in favour of bowlers not in the original party.
A good solid First Class Cricketer and a top bloke by all accounts.

RIP

Sad News. Was a good bowler who deserved more England Caps. I remember his cameo for Surrey against Worcester in the Natwest Trophy in 1994.

Vale.

Debuted in Devon's test, didn't he?

As LT said in the OP he went ok, but was obviously overshadowed by the big fella's finest moment.

Think I have vague memories of him being stricken with chicken pox on that winter's Ashes tour too.

No age at all, is it? Bless his heart.
