Fair enough for hating him, for his post career.

Problem is, he just performed too good during his career to keep him out of ATG ranks, and his Home/Away disparity isn't the biggest around to just discredit that performance in one stroke like that.

Javed was a ****ing nightmare to remove from the crease.
When I was a young kid he gave me headaches and literally helped in trying to ruin my childhood so definitely ATG imo

I am not sure how seriously anyone should take home numbers for Javed. He had great numbers at home, but then the same batsman when playing away in Asia,

Javed in Ind/SL - 25 innings, zero ton, avg 43-44

Without great home numbers, I don't think anyone will be disussing ATG status for Javed. So it comes down to who takes home numbers for Javed seriously and who does not.

I used to rate Javed higher earlier but after looking closely , I have started rating him a bit lower.

Some would say the same about Chanders, he's still by no means an ATG.

I ran the number on this,

Shiv faced 118 balls before getting dismissed on average.

Javed faced 90 balls before getting dismissed on average.

Shiv was far more difficult to dismiss and he did not even have umpires supporting him at home by not giving LBW for a very long time.

Plus Chanders could score a 60 ball ton against Australia
