I’m not sure why McCool has been picked instead of Johnson, he wasn’t part of the invincibles and never played in England.

Well Cyborg replaced him in the New 52, MMH is there more often than not.

I've read some books where Cyborg has indicated that he could kill Kal with a thought, don't know if that was ever fully litigated.

But Cyborg isn't a win in most scenarios like SM or the Man Hunter.

I meant who do you prefer, but yeah MMH destroya Cyborg with ease.
