International Captain
Combined SA and WI post 70 looks very nice
Gordon Greenidge
Graeme Smith
Viv Richards
Brian Lara
Jacques Kallis
AB De Villiers(wk)
Shaun Pollock
Malcolm Marshall
Dale Steyn
Curtly Ambrose
Allan Donald

Bowling is just fire and ice.
🔥 Marshall. Donald. Steyn.
🧊 Ambrose. Pollock.

The addition of Jacques Kallis adds stability to an explosive middle order - Richards, Lara & ABD.

A combined Eng & Aus 11 would be legendary

Len Hutton
Jack Hobbs
Don Bradman
Steven Smith
Ken Barrington
Keith Miller
Adam Gilchrist
Shane Warne
Glen McGrath
Dennis Lillee
Sydney Barnes

I like McGrath batting at 9.

But yes, Australia’s only weakness (relatively) is openers, and England covers that perfectly.

Yeah it should have been Lillee at 9.

I picked the 3 best pacers and McGrath came first to my mind so I wrote his name down.

For batting depth, one can replace Dennis Lillee with Ray Lindwall or Alan Davidson who also adds a little variety with his left arm bowling though Lillee is better.

made some appropriate changes, can't believe you people sneaked ****ing Lillee and Barrington in over the superior Trueman and the far superior Hammond.

anyway Australia/England win

I'll give mine:
Hutton vs Gavaskar
Hobbs vs Barry
Bradman vs Viv
Smith vs Tendulkar
Hammond vs Lara
Miller vs Sobers
Gilchrist
vs Sangakkara
Lillee vs Hadlee
Barnes vs Marshall
Warne vs Murali
McGrath
vs Steyn

Aus/Eng still win because of the Bradman factor

Personally, mine would be

Hobbs
Sutcliffe
Bradman*
Smith
Hammond
Border
Gilchrist+
Lindwall
Davidson
Warne
McGrath

(Barnes may sub for Lindwall/Davidson, I’ve gone with Border specifically because he was great down there and imo would be the perfect partner to Gilly, Chappell very unlucky)

vs

Gavaskar
Smith*
Lara
Tendulkar
Kallis
Sobers
Watling+
Imran*
Hadlee
Marshall
Murali

(keeper is difficult - I’ve gone with someone who kept their whole career - I could also go Sanga another day)

vs a team of players who made neither side

Boycott
Hutton*
Richards
Chappell
Sangakkara
Barrington
Walcott+
Wasim
Steyn
Ambrose
O’Reilly
