Flintoff Jr is a nepo pick as always but McKinney, Haines, Gay, Cox, Rew and Hill or Mousley makes for a decent-ish top six.

Seems like a genuine second XI rather than an experimental squad, I wonder how many force their way into the team for the Test series at some point? McKinney probably the closest, Ahmed Sr seems like a horses for courses pick for Asian conditions at the moment though I think he's mint, wouldn’t surprise me if Sonny Baker forces his way in, he’s genuinely quick rather than the fast-medium guys we mostly have right now

Cox, Woakes and Flintoff all injured or recovering from injury.

Since when are Lions matches used as fitness tests?

Hill apparently just being rested by Yorkshire, Baker in contention for the second game

Max Holden is 27 and barely averages 30 in FC cricket. Not sure he should be anywhere near an A side.

Crocombe? Bloody hell you lot are really scraping the bottom of the barrel now
As a Sussex fan, I would normally agree with you. But he took 4-27 and 2-44 last week to drive Sussex to success over Hants, so he's not the worst call up by any means.
