ICC Sim League VIII

Cricketer Of The Year
Excellent reasons to pick the mighty Zim-jims. I have a feeling they'll be a dark horse in this tourney.

Just NZ & SL left now, a couple of teams which also have a really solid chance of taking this out.

Teuton

International Captain
I'll take 1 of them - lets say NZ.

Nathan Astle
Mark Greatbatch
Stephen Fleming c
Roger Twose
Craig McMillan
Chris Cairns
Adam Parore
Chris Harris
Daniel Vettori
Gavin Larsen
Geoff Allott

Dion Nash
Danny Morrison
Craig Spearman

Nice looking squad, although the max squad size is 14. Injuries aren't a factor in this comp, so you probably don't need Lanka de Silva.

World XI

So that's the top 10 sides taken. Will leave this open for a little while longer to see if anyone wants to take the World XI.

In the meantime, we can get rolling with some trial matches. If you wish to have a trial match before the tournament kicks off please indicate.

Full tournament fixture coming soon... time to get psyched.

I'd like a trial match please with this XI

Moody
Gilly +
Harvey
Julian
Ponting
Lehmann
Martyn
Reiffel
Warne
Hogg
Fleming

I'm interested how fast it simulates Moody's batting, who as we know was a big hitter especially by '99 but his career strike rate is quite low due to playing a lot in the early 90s

I would like a trial game to test some players:

trial xi
Craig Spearman
Mark Greatbatch
Roger Twose
Chris Harris
Craig McMillan
Stephen Fleming
Adam Parore
Dion Nash
Gavin Larsen
Danny Morrison
Geoff Allott

I'm not able to do so at the moment, but if you guys like I can provide details on each of the players in your squads (things such as batting aggression, spin/pace preferences etc.)

Happy for a trial as posted. And yes, can remove Lanka de Silva from the squad.

mullally was indeed a fine odi seamer but no one with his batting and fielding 'skills' is getting near my t20 team.

Oof. Upsets can happen. Best to get those bad days out of the way before the tournament proper I guess.
