It doesn’t matter if it is small or big but there was a gap between them and Knott was picked for his batting.
Do you believe that Pant would be picked ahead of Knott? Yes or no?

If two keepers are of similar level with the gloves, the better batter should be picked no doubt (hence Knott>Taylor). If the batting gap is too big, I'd even allow a keeper that may be one or two tiers below with the gloves, but still very good.

I would definitely pick Pant ahead of Bob Taylor though

For an average cricket team, I would pick a decent keeper who can bat well over a great keeper who can’t bat
Healy was a fighter who could legitimately hold up an end though.

And for an average team you want to save as many runs and take as many wickets as well.

Healy for me any day.
